How important is the mattress DAMASK material covering?

The vast majority of bed cover materials are a cotton or esily stretchable fabric so it can spring back to it’s original shape. But remember you only see it when you make the bed with new sheets. It doesn’t matter much as long as the quality of construction is excellent. The stitching and zipper are more imortant. An don’t fall for the ones who claim they are “cashmere” or similar pillowtops. Many are just marketed that way and add a small percentage of the luxury material to the interior batting just to claim “cashmere”, etc. You will never feel the difference so why pay more for it?
